Happy Monday, friends!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Today, I have a little weekend lately with some Oktoberfest pics thrown in too.
Anyone else so surprised it’s the 29th of September already?!
Here’s a little look at what we’ve been up to…
Friday fun with this cutie! Since Mades doesn’t have school on Fridays, we always run a few fun errands together. When we were done, Andrew took her to our favorite diner on the square for lunch and then we baked a few things at home.

Ashby’s school had a “color run” after school on Friday. When Andrew brought her home…
…this is what she looked like. Bahaha! She had so much fun! Students stayed and they had all sorts of games/obstacles/events that got you sprayed with a variety of fun colors. How did she clean herself up? The first stop was jumping in our pool. It was a little chilly, so she asked Mades if she would jump in with her. Look at this sweetness…

…this selfie on my phone Saturday morning. Yes, she put a sock in her hair to create curls.
On Saturday afternoon, we headed to the square…
…for Oktoberfest! It’s always one of my favorite days.
We met the Slaughters out there for an afternoon/evening of fun…
…Bowen and Ashby each brought friends with them, so the adults followed these two cuties around.
Kensington came out and met us a bit later and hung out and had dinner with us. It was such a sweet night.

…so sweet! We had a very yummy dinner at Cadillac Pizza Pub to wrap up the Oktoberfest fun.
I love them all so darn much.
McKinney always gets extra magical this time of year. Great food, live music, games, and friends…the perfect Saturday night.
Sunday morning included a dog, coffee, and my Bible time.
Andrew texted me this pic while I was at the gym…
…Charlie was waiting there for me to walk through the door so we could go for his walk. Andrew said he sat there the whole time until I opened the back door.

I know its the season of life, but I had a tough time transitioning between my four always doing everything together and then as the teens aged, only having partial family time. Anyone else? We were a family of four forever. Now we often do things with only 3. Or 2 even. I’ll take what I can get!

Goodness YES! Our son has graduated from college, we have two girls in college and the last is a senior in high school. Everyone was home this past weekend; it was nice having everyone under one roof.

Love a fun weekend for you. I was mega busy in Asheville, NC for work and got home late late last night. Whew- not feeling super peppy. BUT, it’s so beautiful out, I am going to pull it together for a walk and an episode of Unicorn Girl 🙂

My son and dil and 4 kids are in Nantucket today! They stayed at the Nantucket Hotel and ate at a place called 4 Thieves Bar and are headed for a bike ride! We spoke to them and said the place was gorgeous and so friendly!! FYI we hope to visit next summer!

You’ve mentioned before that Andrew has some rules to keep his car clean. Would have loved to see his setup for getting Ashby home! I always feel like I’m trying to move a dead body with all the towels after one of those things! Ha!
