It’s just about Father’s Day! I don’t know about your dad, but when it comes to making dinner for someone, my dad is the easiest. I could seriously pour the man a bowl of Raisin Bran and he’d be happy. I won’t…but I could.
Whenever we celebrate Father’s Day, we grill. Maybe we grill because it’s June and hot or maybe we grill because most men love grilled food? Whichever it is, I don’t think you can mess up a grilled supper for Father’s Day.
Here you go…my Father’s Day menu…
I always make Tab’s Guacamole on Father’s Day (Tab by the way, is Erika’s husband who makes the BEST guacamole!). Andrew and my dad both love it, so I make it!
And since we’re celebrating men, I’m totally thinking my Cheddar Beer Burgers are the only way to go. Burgers plus beer equals a man’s kind of meal, right?
For dessert…my Strawberry Angel Food Cake. I have been making this simple, simple, simple recipe for years and it’s always Andrew and my dad’s favorite. They request it often!
That’s it! A simple patio meal for your favorite men. I am so very thankful for both my own dad and then this dad too…
Happy Father’s Day to you both! XOXO

We're grilling out too….but here's what's happening for our dessert…I'm buying a pie from The Pantry. Easy way out or totally genius? I'm going to go with genius.

My husband made me steak and potatoes for Mother's Day so I joke he get's salmon, asparagus and a light salad for Father's Day 🙂

My husband and I are grilling steaks for both our dads this weekend! We plan on having grilled artichokes for an appetizer — what is it about grilled food that tastes so good! Especially when my husband makes it on his big green egg!

Will be trying all these recipes soon. Have you done the angel food cake mixed with a can of crushed pineapple? Yum-o! 🙂

Grilling at our house too. Pie from the pantry is ALWAYS a good idea.
